Reunited: A Pair of Australian Ford GT40’s

The automotive industry is always evolving. In this day and age, car design is always a battle between manufacturers to outdo each other. I know I’m not alone in the thoughts that there are many similarities between many makes and models; it takes out of the box thinking to have a car actually make you take a step back and say “wow”. When you look back through automotive history there are several iconic cars that are instantly recognisable, and the GT40 is indisputibly one of them.”

Vertical Surfaces: Sexy Knight’s Awaji’s FD RX-7

"This crazy FD belongs to Hiroki “Niiyan” Awaji, a member of the Sexy Knights drift team, and owner of a panel shop in Chiba called Newtype. Despite the time-attack-style exterior, it’s not meant to set times or even be a competition car, rather just a personal drifter he can have fun with at track days. The livery used to have an Evangelion graphic theme, but switched a little while ago to virtual idol Hatsune Miku. You can see what it looked like back in 2011 in these pics.

RALLY CAR

The STI went through a very aggressive transformation from stock. Danny decided to go wild and add a Varis wide body kit, spoiler, a rear diffuser and a unique roof vent. He also dumped it on air – including AirLift bags and Accuair management. The car didn’t fall short in fitment either, Danny went with a fat square set up of 19″x12″ Forgeline GA3′s.”

The Living Legend // Sato’s Gorgeours AE86

"A young Sato Hirokazu sat in his high school looking at motorsports magazines with his friends. He flipped to a page where he saw the drift legend, Keiichi Tsuchiya, drifting a Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno. He knew at that moment, that he would one day have a “Hachi-Roku” to call his own. High School automotive-fantasies became reality when he bought his first AE86 20 years ago. Since then, he has owned 3 more, proving the timelessness of its design. His current AE86 has been a project of his over the last 14 years, and with that time, has come perfection."
